€1m prize win is the Centra of attention
National Lottery LIMERICK has a new millionaire after a lucky Lotto player scooped €1,000,000 in Saturday night’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.
The winner bought their golden ticket at the Centra Store on St Mary’s Road in Newcastle West.
Shop manager Margaret Ryan said: “There’s great excitement and so many of our customers have been in checking their tickets.
“Everyone is wondering who the winner is. Hopefully it’s one of our regulars.
“We are located in the middle of town so get a lot of passing trade as well as a lot off our own customers so it’s impossible to tell.”
A National Lottery spokesman added: “This is amazing news and we look forward to meeting this person or persons soon.”
