It’s like you never Loft
THEY haven’t stepped foot in the Queen Vic for three long decades.
But next week Eastenders veterans Lofty Holloway and Mary Smith will return to Albert Square to pay their respects to their old friend Dr Harold Legg.
Former punk Mary, played by Linda Davidson, arrives with daughter Annie in tow – last seen in Walford as a grubby toddler. In scenes to be shown next week, Sharon Mitchell is astonished when Lofty – actor Tom Watts – appears on her doorstep.
When they go for a proper catch up in The Vic, they meet up with Mary and when Dot (June Brown) arrives they all reminisce about Dr Legg, raising a glass to bid him a final fond farewell as Kathy Beale looks on.
