Juddernaut rolls over Ali

-

JUDD TRUMP put down a Crucible marker by claiming a third major title of the season last night.

The Juddernaut, 29, won the World Grand Prix and pocketed the £100,000 first prize with a 10-6 victory over Ali Carter in Cheltenham.

The new world No.4 will hope to maintain his form until April for a serious attempt at a first world title. Victory saw him join Jimmy White on 10 ranking titles in the all-time list.

He said: “I could get used to this. I am proud of how I held myself together. Ali pushed me all the way.”
