A wealth of support for Lotto family

cash pile even for a syndicate.

He added: “It’s a huge amount of money and we’ll be guiding the winners and advising them what to do next.

“The next step is for the winners to come in and present their ticket and we’ll take it from there.”

The store will receive €25,000 for selling the winning ticket but Mr Reilly said if he had won he would give away a huge slice of the €175million prize. he added: “You’d help friends, family, there is a lot of things you could do with it. Maybe buy an island and have fun.” Meath County Councillor Sharon Keogan, who knows the winning family, said the sisters are lovely people.

She added: “It is absolutely great for the families and the extended families. “I think everyone is happy for them and it’s a great lift for the whole area. They are lovely people.

“I know the family well but I’m not saying anything until they decide what they want to do.

“The family are spread between Duleek, Bellewstown and the Naul.”

IT’S fantastic a large family syndicate is celebrating after scooping €175million in the Euromillions.

And it’s a wonderful tonic amid the Brexit and the National Children’s Hospital fiascos.

There were wild celebrations at the Daybreak store in the Naul, Co Dublin, as owner Les Reilly punched the air in delight.

The shop will receive €25,000 after selling Ireland’s biggest Euromillions jackpot ticket and the happiness on the faces of his staff was something to behold.

No doubt the winners will be emotional themselves and the popular family, some of whom are retired, will have lots of well-wishers congratulating them.

The prize has brought a sense of great pride to the areas of Naul, Duleek and Ashbourne.

The winners have been described as grounded, down-to-earth people and it’s a remarkable time for locals and friends who are delighted by their good fortune.

It was amusing to hear how one of the winners kept the golden ticket in an Argos catalogue under their mattress on Tuesday night.

I think many of us – if we were lucky enough to ever scoop a similarly large jackpot – would be very careful and guarded too.

Here’s hoping the bumper win will bring many years of happiness, good health and contentment to the syndicate.
