Clooney gives Duchess lift home after US party
Meg in New York &, left, Amal THE Duchess of Sussex hitched a ride back to Britain in Amal Clooney’s private jet after her lavish baby shower in New York.
Human rights lawyer Amal, 41, who is married to Hollywood heart-throb George, 57, was among Meghan’s guests in Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
They enjoyed a bash in what is said to be the US’S most expensive hotel room – the Penthouse Suite in the fivestar Mark Hotel, which costs a reported €65,000 a night.
Amal was believed to have organised a trip to the UK with her oneyear-old twins Alexander and Ella and offered Meghan, 37, a lift back – landing at Farnborough Airport yesterday.
It is not clear whether the Duchess’s personal protection officers went with her on the €38million Gulfstream G450.
The jet is owned by a firm with the same name as one registered to the LA address for two of George’s companies. Other celebs helping Meghan celebrate the impending arrival of Duchess boards the Clooneys’ jet her child, due late April or early May, included her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer and tennis ace Serena Williams. Travel was privately funded, Kensington Palace said.
Meghan will resume royal duties tomorrow by joining hubby Prince Harry on a three-day tour of Morocco. Meanwhile, Beyonce and Jay-z congratulated her on her pregnancy after they won a Brit award. She posted a snap of the pair in front of a painting of Meghan, adding: “We wish you so much joy.”
