Set ourselves three if we’re to reach goal

- Ulster v Zebre Tomorrow, 7.35pm BY DARREN FULLERTON

LOUIS LUDIK hopes Ulster become flat track bullies as they plot a route to the knockout stages of the Pro14.

The province’s next three league outings are against clubs languishing in the bottom two of their respective conferences, starting at home to Zebre this weekend.

Tomorrow’s home fixture with the Italians, rooted to the foot of Conference A, is a prelude to clashes with the Dragons (A) and Southern Kings (H).

After that it gets tricky for Dan Mcfarland’s men, with the club’s final three regular season games against Glasgow (A), Edinburgh (A) and Leinster (H).

Glasgow are currently runners-up in Conference A, with Edinburgh and Leinster making up the top-two in Conference B.

With Ulster lying fourth in Conference B, two points below second-placed Edinburgh, Ludik knows they must cash in against Zebre, the Dragons Southern Kings.

“There’s a lot at stake at this stage of the season and we have to be in charge of our own destiny, especially since our last three fixtures are going to be so intense.

“Last year, we lost a couple of silly games we shouldn’t have and it put us under a lot of pressure to try and get to the play-offs. It’s no use putting ourselves under that pressure.

“The next three games are going to be vital and it’s three we definitely have to win.”
