HAVE YOU WON €10M?

Hunt on to find lucky Lotto punter

- BY WILLIAM DUNNE

LOTTO chiefs have urged people to check their tickets after Saturday’s €10million jackpot was won.

One lucky punter woke up yesterday €10.2million richer after matching all six numbers and the bonus ball.

A National Lottery spokesman confirmed to the Irish Mirror it wasn’t an online bet and the shop that sold the winning ticket won’t be revealed until today. He added: “With a jackpot win of this amount we need a little time to inform the shop owner and to give the winner time and space to let this huge win sink in.”

It is the 21st time someone has won an amount higher than €10million since the game began in 1988.

The winning numbers are 3, 19, 21, 29, 31, 35 and the bonus number is 22. One Limerick player was one digit away from splitting the top prize after matching five numbers and the bonus ball.

They’ll collect a sweet €88,000 after buying their ticket at Deerpark Dairies on Davis Street, Limerick city.

The news comes just days after Ireland’s largest win ever. National Lottery chief Dermot Griffin said: “This has been an extraordinary week in the 32-year life of the National Lottery.

“We had our highest ever jackpot prize win with a family syndicate winning an incredible €175million.

“Now, just days later, we have a lucky Lotto player who has won this amazing €10.2million prize.”
