FERM GRIP WILL SQUEEZE CLARE

-

Tomorrow, Brewster Park, 2pm

FERMANAGH’S defensive approach may not find favour with the purists, but if they achieve an unlikely promotion it’s the foundation on which it will have been built.

Some of their supporters may pine for a more expansive style but where would they be in the table playing like that? Would they even be in Division Two at all? That’s the trade-off.

One thing’s for sure, boss Rory Gallagher (above) won’t be listening to any critics.

Clare are a fine side who have more than held their own in Division Two for a few years but may struggle to break down the home side tomorrow.

v Clare

Donegal v Armagh

Tonight, Ballybofey, 7pm (eir)

DONEGAL are considered to be the best side in Division Two but they are in danger of missing out on promotion.

They opened with a decent victory over Clare in Ennis but have flattered to deceive since, riding their luck to mug Meath late on before losing to Tipperary and Fermanagh.

Armagh finally got their first victory against Tipperary last weekend after starting with a pair of frustrating draws before losing in Meath. The Orchard men could still go up or down but getting back into Ballybofey this evening should help restore Donegal to winning ways.
