Restaurant chain reveals plans for 20 irish locations
FAST food chain Leon yesterday announced plans to create 600 jobs in Ireland.
The cult brand revealed it will open 20 restaurants across the country by 2023.
The Irishmen responsible for bringing Leon here – Stuart Fitzgerald, Alan O’neill and Brian Mcintyre – have also revealed its first Irish location will be in Dublin’s Temple Bar.
The flagship outlet will be located in Crown Alley on the site once occupied by vintage clothing store Eager Beaver.
Mr Fitzgerald said: “Temple Bar is a melting pot of culture, creativity and individuality which makes it the perfect setting for Leon’s Irish launch.”
The inaugural restaurant will open doors to the public in just two months.
A second branch of the London-based chain will open in Dundrum Town Centre its First Leon will be in Temple Bar later in the year. Mr Fitzgerald said the Mediterranean-style fast food brand will be working with local Irish suppliers to bring their menu to Ireland.
He added: “We are very proud to be able to say we will be making such a positive impact on the Irish economy over the next five years with the creation of 600 jobs and using so many Irish suppliers in our various locations across the country.
“We are so excited to be bringing a unique brand like Leon to Ireland.
