CORONATION Street star Helen Flanagan says she “could have killed” fiance Scott Sinclair during her two pregnancies.

Helen, 29, and Celtic footballer Scott, 30, had first daughter Matilda in 2015 followed by Delilah in 2018.

And the actress says her other half scored a few own goals both times she was expecting.

Recalling going into labour the first time, she said: “I was 11 days overdue having contractions, and he was like ‘do you not think it is all in your head?’”

Having called him “all the names under the sun” Helen says she had to put her own pregnancy bag in the car as “Scott was doing his hair”.

Later at the hospital she yelled at the midwifes to, “get him out”.

She said: “I was looking at him thinking ‘why isn’t my mum here?’

“The second time wasn’t much better. He looked a bit gormless, to be fair. They don’t get it.”

Helen says she and Scott sleep “top to tail” because she got used to him making way for Matilda or Delilah when they were younger.

The star joked: “He is just big in the bed and annoying.

“Maybe one day we will get round to sleeping next to each there but it makes me hot and sweaty.”

Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Helen also revealed Matilda, now four, was conceived in her parents’ home in Manchester.

She explained: “We were living with my mum and dad because Scott wanted to save on rent. We were living in my old bedroom.

“My mum went on holiday and said ‘make the most of it’.

“I remember the day I conceived Matilda. Then Mum said ‘that was the room you were conceived in.’”

Helen and Scott have been together since they were 19 and the star says she wants two more kids.

But she admitted motherhood was not easy at first, having lost confidence after Matilda’s arrival despite “loving her to bits”.

She said: “Even though it was amazing just being this mum, I got quite bad social anxiety.

“No one would think that because you know, sure, you’re an actress you can go talk to anyone… but no.” ■ The full interview on the podcast is available to download now.
