LOTTIE Ryan has revealed her husband Fabio Aprile still gets nervous watching her perform on Dancing With The Stars.

The radio broadcaster said he was in the audience for moral support as she faced the dreaded dance-off against Sinead O’carroll on Sunday.

Lottie told the Irish Mirror: “He gets very nervous whether he is here in the studio or at home. He sees how happy I am doing it so he’s thrilled for me.

“He sees the work I’m putting in and I think he is just happy I am part of the process as I haven’t shut up about this show since it came to Ireland.

“I’ve been obsessed since it started in the UK and it’s on its fourth season on RTE. I think he’s happy I am getting it out of my system.”

Her sister Bonnie was also in the audience on Sunday night and Lottie joked she was like a “dance mom” egging her on to perform her best.

She added: “I turned around and saw her and she looked like some kind of American stage mom.

“She was willing me on with a mad expression on her face saying, ‘You have to go for it’.

“I was trying to be all calm and she was sweating. It is good to have the family support but I was a little bit like, ‘Calm down stage mom’.”

Lottie and her pro partner Pasquale La Rocca scored 29 points, picking up 10s from Loraine Barry and standin judge Darren Bennett.

But their American Smooth to Shirley Bassey’s Hey Big Spender wasn’t enough to save them from the bottom two.

Lottie said she didn’t have time to think about the result as she was focused on picking herself back up and dancing again.

She added: “There is definitely a moment when you go, ‘Oh, I really have to get my act together now and change my thinking’.

“But it happens so quickly I think we had one ad break, it is a really quick process.

“Of course there’s a moment when you go ‘woh’ but then you have to go out and do it again.”

“You have to really challenge that energy into doing the best performance you can, you don’t have time to be moaning or thinking ‘Why me?’

“You have to enjoy the moment, you don’t know what’s going to happen so you might as well take it all in and make the best of it.”
