THE DIARY

Corrie’s Lisa George admits she “struggled” with menopausal hot flushes in Dancing on Ice but proudly states: “I’m waving the flag for women of my age.”

The 47-year-old says: “I’ve struggled with the biological things a woman goes through at my age. My cycle has been so erratic, it’s been a mess. The hormones, hot flushes.”

Lisa, who was eliminated over the weekend, says she competed against people in their 20s and early 30s – “so there’s a massive difference and my body [took] longer to recover”.

Lisa had a hot flush in the live opening show. “I was dripping in sweat,” she says. “I was burning up.”
