HOLLY WILLOUGHBY THIS MORNING HOST,

Christine Archibald

THE parents of a victim of the London Bridge terror attack are calling for tougher vehicle rental rules as they mark the third anniversary of the tragedy.

Christine Archibald was one of eight people killed when three

TV star Holly Willoughby admits she is “riddled with guilt” after missing her children’s first days at school while she presented This Morning on ITV.

The 39-year-old says she has found juggling her career and being a mum a “challenge”.

But she says the support of her TV producer husband Dan

Baldwin, who shares the responsibilities, has been vital. They have

Harry, 11, Belle, eight, and Chester, five.

She tells Red magazine:

“Becoming a mum was the only thing I knew I definitely wanted when I was growing up, but the image I had never involved me being a working mum. That’s the biggest challenge.

“I’ve been riddled with guilt about getting that part wrong. You love them so much and you don’t want to mess them up.”

Holly admits she “hated” missing her two eldest children’s first days of school due to her schedule: “I didn’t do the drop-off because I was terrorists used a rental van to mow down pedestrians before running amok with knives around Borough Market on June 3, 2017.

Canadian Christine, 30, was crossing the bridge with her fiance when she was hit by the van hired working. I hate that I wasn’t there because those memories you can’t get back.

“But I’ve realised the only way I can combat those feelings is to accept that sometimes I don’t get it right. And I’m lucky I can be there every day to pick them up and at weekends.”

Last September, Holly thanked her bosses for “moving heaven and Earth” to allow her to drop off Chester on his first day at school. She wrote on social media that she was “full of a host of emotions watching him walk through the classroom door”.

Last month, Holly quit ITV2 series Celebrity Juice after 12 years as a panellist, reportedly to spend more time with her family.

Holly says she and Dan, 45, are “aligned” and split the workload evenly. “The kids have absolutely no idea sexism is even a thing because they don’t see it,” she says.

Dan, who runs Hungry Bear Media, has had to furlough staff in the pandemic. “I’m incredibly proud of the way he works and that people want to come back and work for him,” adds Holly.

Holly & Belle by ringleader Khuram Butt, a known terror suspect. Christine’s parents Greg and Barbara said: “The process of bringing a civil claim has allowed us to campaign to prevent another similar attack.

“We continue to appeal to the bodies that govern vehicle rental to make it mandatory for all rental agencies to adhere to the UK Government’s rental vehicle security scheme.” Those in it train staff to spot risks, share data with law enforcement and do ID checks.
