VICTORY over Kerry in the All-ireland semi-final of 2017 remains the highlight of the Tom Parsons’ career.
The midfielder played a key role in helping Mayo reach that year’s All-ireland final, kicking two points in the drawn semi final.
“In a Mayo jersey probably that year I was at the peak of my powers. We played in that All-ireland semi final against Kerry. We drew with them the first day and then we beat them the second day,” Parsons (inset) said in a podcast interview with his home club Charlestown.
“That series of games meant a lot to me personally because you were being challenged against the best. Anthony Maher, in the first game, and he came off at halftime and then I faced David Moran. You’d want to see where you are at when you are playing against the best players, so that game was really memorable.”
