Skipper Lloris insists Spurs are fit and ready to fly against a United side with his World Cup-winning pal Pogba out to prove a point

BACK to full strength and ready to rumble.

Hugo Lloris is expecting sparks to fly at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday, with Manchester United as resurgent as his own team.

Jose Mourinho will welcome back Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Steven Bergwijn – all of whom would have played no part had this fixture been staged in March as scheduled.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be able to pair Bruno Fernandes with Lloris’s France teammate Paul Pogba in midfield, as the Reds look to continue their fine form from before the break.

It should make for a fascinating encounter, with

Spurs a very different side from the injuryravaged, out-of-form outfit winless in five. “The last three months has given players who were injured time to recover,” said the Spurs keeper.

“It has given time to reach a good level of fitness and to be ready for competition.”

Kane (right centre, with Lloris and Pogba) last played for Spurs in January before an ankle injury at Southampton ruled him out for what was widely believed to be the rest of the season.

And Pogba has not played since Boxing Day after complications with an ankle injury. Lloris

PLFsaid: “For Paul, it’s even a longer period than Harry without playing.

“But I know Paul and as soon as he gets on the field he just wants to win. He is going to do everything possible to be at his best level to help get Manchester

United into the top four.

“About the title, it’s almost done, but for the fourth place, or the fifth place, there will be a big battle, and for relegation it will be an even bigger battle. It’s the final sprint – you can win or lose everything.

“In March we were all in different form and unfortunately Covid-19 came from nowhere – no one could have expected that. At the time we were not at our best.

“But that belongs to the past. We all want to finish the season and now we are getting close. Players have recovered from injuries. It’s been a strange season, but it has to end.”

Lloris has a theory as to why,

It’s going to be a big battle. It’s the final sprint - you can win or lose everything
