LA LIGA SNAP BACK AT INVADER OUT TO BAG MESSI SELFIE..

- BY MATTHEW DUNN

SPANISH authorities are to take legal action against the fan who broke into Barcelona’s 4-0 win at Real Mallorca behind closed doors to take selfies with the players.

A statement read: “La Liga wants to express its absolute condemnation for this type of conduct which puts the health of others and the integrity of the competition at risk.

“La Liga will bring the appropriate legal action.”

The incident marred the opening weekend of the resumption of football in Spain.

And while the Premier League refused to comment, they remain confident in their own match-day security protocols ahead of Wednesday’s restart.

The rogue fan – wearing an Argentina shirt – explained how he jumped a two-metre high fence to enter the Son Moix stadium complex five minutes before half-time and made his way down to the pitch from the stands.

He said: “I wanted a photo with Lionel Messi (below) and to meet him because he’s my idol. But first I saw Jordi Alba and I took one with him. Then I went to Messi, but due to the virus he didn’t want a picture.

“Then the police made me delete everything.” Barcelona closed in on the title with a headed opener from Arturo Vidal after just 66 seconds.

Martin Braithwaite and Alba added further goals before Messi struck in the final minute.

Real Madrid are second, two points behind Barca, after beating lowly Eibar 3-1 at home last night.

Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo made it 3-0 before half-time. Pedro Bigas pulled one back.
