■ A national economic recovery plan in Budget 2021 with no PAYE or USC hikes and a €6billion tax package over five years

■ Carbon emissions to be slashed by 7% every year

■ No increase in the pension age to 67 while a commission studies the measure

■ A 2:1 split in favour of public transport versus roads spending with €360million invested every year on cycling and walking infrastruc­ture

■ A ban on all future exploratio­n for gas in Irish waters and the importatio­n of fracked gas – halt the constructi­on of the Shannon liquid natural gas project and other facilities

■ Carbon tax will rise to €100 per tonne by 2030 rather than €80 per tonne as had previously been planned and build into a €10billion fund over 10 years

■ Abolition of the direct provision system

■ A right to housing referendum

■ Commission­s on housing, tax and social welfare and on the future of the Defence Forces, as well as a permanent pay review body for the military services

■ A stimulus plan for the retail and tourism sectors with a “night time economy” task force for pubs and clubs including “night mayors” for Dublin and Cork

■ The Land Developmen­t Agency will develop cost rental housing, as well as affordable purchase homes, affordable rental homes and social housing on State-owned land;

■ 50,000 social homes will be provided over the next five years

■ A new system of measuring national progress based on “well-being” as well as economic measures like GDP

■ Retro-fitting of more than 500,000 homes by 2030, electrific­ation of the transport system including bikes, vehicles and public transport and a ban on new petrol and diesel cars from 2030

■ A 2050 carbon neutral target in law by a Climate Action Bill and a new Climate Action Council.

■ A review of defamation laws and a new body to oversee print, online and broadcast media

■ A national clean air strategy and work-life balance plans

■ Establish an agency to oversee deliver of childcare needs, and

■ Get 60% of the population engaged in sport by 2027.
