ASTON Villa captain Jack Grealish will face court after allegedly crashing his Range Rover into parked cars while breaching lockdown.

The Premier League ace, 24, has been charged with driving without due care and attention and failing to stop or report a collision.

The accident, in Solihull, West Mids, on March 29, came just hours after the star had urged his fans to follow the Government’s lockdown guidance and stay indoors.

The next day, the midfielder revealed he had “stupidly agreed” to go to a friend’s house. Villa fined him €170,000.

West Midlands Police confirmed yesterday that Grealish, of Barnt Green, Worcestershire, will appear before Birmingham magistrates on August 25.

GERMAN prosecutors say they have sent two letters to Madeleine Mccann’s parents about the inquiry into the prime suspect.

It comes after criticism of the way Gerry and Kate Mccann have been treated by German auth oriti e s probing convicted rapist Christian Brueckner, 43. The Mirror previously reported that prosecutors said they wrote to the

Mccanns saying there is proof Madeleine is dead, but the British couple said they had not received such a letter.

Now prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters has said: “I have written to Mr and

Mrs Mccann twice.”

He said the first time was to forewarn the family about the German authorities

publicly announcing on June 3 that this is a murder inquiry and that Madeleine “is dead”.

Mr Wolters added they wrote to the family at a later date too.

German national Brueckner, who is in jail in the German city of Kiel, is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine from Praia da Luz in Portugal in 2007 when she was three.
