LEICESTER v BRIGHTON KO 6PM GREED IS GOOD FOR CHILWELL

-

BRENDAN RODGERS is urging Ben Chilwell to develop a greedy streak and cash in with goals.

The £80million-rated Chelsea target scored with a 90th-minute wonder strike at Watford on Saturday and his manager now wants more, starting against Brighton today.

Rodgers said: “Sometimes you just need that bit of a ruthless streak to not pass to a team-mate and have a go. It was a wonderful strike – absolutely sublime.”

It was only the third goal left-back Chilwell (above) has hit this season, but Rodgers added: “He has that in him. He has the talent to score more. He certainly has all the qualities, a wonderful left foot and great power.’’

The Foxes boss has told his squad to keep their eye on the prize as they prepare to slug out the rest of the season fighting on two fronts.

It is a big week with Leicester third in the Premier League and chasing Champions League football along with an FA Cup quarter-final against Chelsea on Sunday.

Rodgers is under no illusions that no matter how well he does, he cannot match the fairytale title win five years ago.

“I said to them, ‘Listen, you can never beat that feeling of what happened here a few years ago. That will always be the greatest story in the history of this football club. But you can write your own story’.” PROBABLE TEAMS: LEICESTER: Schmeichel, Justin, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell, Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison, Albrighton, Barnes, Vardy. BRIGHTON: Ryan, Schelotto, Dunk, Webster, Burn, Propper, Bissouma, Gross, Trossard, Mooy, Maupay.
