LEE’S HAT OFF FOR TOP NEW BOSS JONES

ELLIOT LEE pledged his faith in born-again Luton boss Nathan Jones – after giving a scathing verdict on predecessor Graeme Jones.

Luton striker Lee – son of former Newcastle star Rob Lee – paid a glowing tribute to Nathan, whose second coming as Hatters head honcho has started with four points from two games.

But Lee’s love for the other Jones, Graeme, runs not so deep after being left out of the starting line-up since August.

“There were a few chats and it’s a tough one to say, but let’s just say the chats weren’t very honest from his side and I’m happy I now have a manager I can trust,” said Lee. “I’m thankful to be given a chance in the team by a manager I trust. I’d like to think I put in a performance to prove I can play at this level and in this team.”

Since Luton swapped one

Jones for another, they have been revitalised and this victory – earned by a header from James Collins (above) – lifted them off the bottom of the table.

They say never go back, but

Lee reckons Nathan Jones is a more measured man after a spell in charge of Stoke where humble pie became his staple menu.

He added: “I think he’s a different person. He went through a lot at his previous club.

“But he’s learnt a lot and the thing with the gaffer is he always brings a positive atmosphere and drives people every day.”

Swansea were poor before Jordan Garrick was sent off late on for a punch and got no better.

Manager Steve Cooper said: “There is now the option for changes. What today has done is open up the door for everybody.” SWANSEA: Woodman 6, Roberts 6, Wilmot 6, Cabango 5 (Routledge 85), Bidwell 5, Grimes 6, Fulton 5 (Byers 57, 5), Ayew 6, Gallagher 6, Kalulu 5 (Garrick 46, 4), Brewster 5

LUTON: Sluga 7, Pearson 6, Cartervickers 6, Bradley 6, Potts 6 (Cranie 90), Rea 6, Mpanzu 7, Butterfield 6 (Brown 58, 7), Lee 6 (Bree 69, 5), Cornick 7 (Hylton 90), Collins 8
