AFTER the torrential rain which caused flooding in some areas, Irish Water has decided to review the need for a hosepipe ban.

The restrictions which came into force for the entire country on June 8 was supposed to remain until July 21.

Irish Water’s Niall Gleeson said while some areas of the country have had significant rainfall, it has not been equally distributed in all the areas most in need.
