Brooklyn Beckham ‘engaged’
He proposes to US actress Nicola David and Victoria have very much given this their blessing
BROOKLYN Beckham has triggered speculation he is engaged to girlfriend Nicola Peltz, telling pals in LA that he has proposed to the American actress.
Photographer Brooklyn, 21, has been dating Nicola, 25, for seven months.
A source said: “Brooklyn has been telling his friends in LA that he and Nicola are engaged. It’s common knowledge among their group of friends. They are smitten.”
Brooklyn’s PR, who also represents his parents David, 45, and Victoria, 46, last night declined to comment. But they are said to be delighted their son plans to wed Nicola.
A source close to the Beckhams said: “David and Victoria have very much given this relationship their blessing.
“It’s a very exciting time for the whole family and after a few previous rocky relationships, they think Brooklyn has landed on his feet.”
Last summer Brooklyn split from British model Hana Cross after a series of rows.
He and Nicola announced their relationship in January by posting a black-andwhite picture of themselves wearing towels, which was believed to have been taken at the Beckhams’ Cotswolds home.
In a recent Instagram post Brooklyn called Nicola: “My best friend forever”. She responded: “You make everything better.” In May, she said: “I’m dating my best friend and that makes me so happy.”
Nicola’s father is tycoon Nelson Peltz, whose €1.45billion fortune dwarfs David and Victoria’s estimated €390million.
Nelson and wife Claudia, a former fashion model, live in a 27-bedroom property in Bedford, a wealthy town on the outskirts of New York, where residents also include Bruce Willis and Glenn Close.
Nelson employs a large domestic staff there and previously used a helicopter to commute to work.
He has 10 children, and Nicola is the youngest of his eight with Claudia, who is his third wife.
As well as their house in Bedford, Nelson, 77, and Claudia, who have been married for 35 years, own a €85million home in Palm Beach, Florida.
In February, President Donald Trump was a guest at a €525,000-per-couple re-election fundraiser at the property.
Nicola starred in Age Of Extinction, the 2017 Marvel TV series Inhumans and played Mark Walhberg’s daughter Tessa in 2014 hit Transformers.
David and Victoria recently celebrated 21 years of marriage.
Brooklyn was a ring bearer when they wed at Luttrellstown Castle in the outskirts of Dublin in Clonsilla, a €550,000 event featuring gold thrones.
