NUNO CAN’T ASK TRAORE TO SHOULDER PAIN ALONE

WOLVES will seek further specialist advice on Adama Traore’s worrying shoulder problem.
The £60million-rated winger could face surgery after dislocating his shoulder for the fourth time this season during the defeat at Sheffield United in midweek.
Afterwards it was revealed that the winger had played on for 77 minutes after the shoulder had popped out.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo said Traore may need further scans to see how the problem can be resolved.
The 24-year-old has been playing through the pain barrier most of the season but the matter needs to be sorted out once and for all.
Traore will be a late call for tomorrow’s home clash with Everton, with Nuno (above) admitting it is a troublesome situation.
He said: “What happened in the game was a setback. He’s able to deal with the pain and is almost ‘normal’.
“But we have to address it in the proper way. It is something that we have to decide upon together. He needs a scan and to get a good opinion on it, and then we will decide what to do.
“He is struggling, of course, but he is able to compete.”
Wolves’ bid for a top-four finish have been hit by two back-to-back defeats, but it’s not worrying Nuno.
He added: “Football is about ups and downs. It’s how you react. I’m pleased with the players and nothing can take away all the good things we have been doing.
“We’ve played so many games. Our season started a year ago and we’ve had the pandemic and had to restart, and now we have to go again.
“All I know is we have four matches in front of us and we just have to raise our standards and focus.
“There’s been a lot of disruption but all teams have suffered that. It’s made for an immensely long season.”
Nuno is a massive fan of Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, saying: “He’s an inspiration for every younger manger who wants to improve. I have a big admiration
for him.”
