VISUALISE GLORY

Joseph can see victory in today’s Stadium Maiden

- BY PETER O’HEHIR

VISUALISATION might defy a high draw in the seven- furlong Follow Us On Twitter @ dundalkstadium 3- Y- 0 Maiden in Dundalk.

This is the first off our additional meetings on the polytrack in January and February – partly- funded by the track itself.

The card comprises six 45- 65 handicaps and two maidens. And Visualisation, from Joseph O’brien’s yard, which enjoyed an impressive strike- rate in maidens late last year, is worth noting despite concerns about his draw ( 14) and the likelihood he’ ll only realise his potential when stepped- up in trip.

A son of No Nay Never, Visualisation caught my eye on his debut over course and distance in November, showing signs of inexperience, but staying on in encouraging style to finish over four lengths sixth behind the Johnny Murtagh- trained Chicago Bear.

Most of O’brien’s juveniles take a significant step forward from their debut runs. And, if Visualisation follows suit, he’s likely to be tough to beat – particularly if Declan Mcdonogh pops him out of the stalls smartly and attains a handy early position.

In the six- furlong HOLLYWOODBETS Horse Racing Betting Maiden, Jack Davison’s Glow Worm, a 22 race maiden but placed on 13 occasions, will have plenty of followers despite a high draw.

Woodrow, the mount of Rory Cleary, has solid handicap form, including seconds to Dandy Spirit and Hodd’s Girl over the minimum trip on his last two starts.

But I ’ ll take a chance with Abeona, having her second run for Sarah Lynam, dropping in trip and the mount of Chris Hayes – who notched a double at the track’s first meeting of 2021 on Friday .

Disappointing last time, her form for Ger Lyons included a couple of placings behind Pearls

Galore at Limerick and Cork.

She’s entitled to improve from her stable debut behind Wonder Elz a am here before Christ- mas. If coping with the drop in trip, the 70- rated daughter of Acclamation should be involved.

Hayes also has prospects on Darren Bunyan’s Stay With Me in the opener, the first division of the Irish injured jockeys. com Handicap over a mile and a half, and Pat Murphy’s top- weight Pempie, fifth to Kudbegood last time, in the second division.
