Love Island star back in home town ahead of filming for new RTE show
MAURA Higgins is in quarantine after flying home to Ireland just hours after confirming her relationship with Strictly star Giovanni Pernice.
The 30-year-old travelled to her native Longford as she confirmed her romance with the Italian star, captioning a picture of the couple: “I’m yours.”
Giovanni, also 30, mirrored her affectionate post by sharing his own loved-up image of them gazing at each other, captioning it: “You’re mine.”
Maura, who was in Blackpool last week, is in quarantine since she arrived home to Ballymahon under Covid-19 policy as she is expected to begin filming her new show Glow Up: Ireland’s Next Make-up Star.
The RTE Two series will see 10 of the country’s best amateur MUAS challenged in a range of assignments where they will show off their technical know-how, skill, artistry and imagination. They will be tasked with creating make-up transformations – all taking place in a dedicated studio space Glow Up HQ.
One of the 10 will be crowned Ireland’s Next Make-up Star and will win an opportunity to further their professional career.
Love Island star Maura previously said landing the new show was a “pinch me moment”.
The Ann Summers lingerie model added: “I’m so excited to be the presenter of the first ever Glow Up Ireland. Having watched the last few series of the show in the UK, this is such an amazing opportunity and the fact this is my first presenting job and it’s in Ireland is so overwhelming.
“It’s such a pinch me moment to be doing this back in my home country. I actually can’t believe it.
“Obviously, we’re expecting a very high standard of Irish talent to come forward.”
