Model wants 3-yr-old daughter to have family life she never had

NADIA Forde has told how she moved back home so her daughter will grow up with her family in Ireland.
Dubliner Nadia, who welcomed her little girl Wyatt three years ago with husband Dominic Day, said being separated from her loved ones for so long during Covid made them realise how important it is to have their toddler grow up surrounded by family and friends at home.
The model and actress, 32, who had previously been living in London, said: “We have actually been based here for quite a while, like back and forth, and it’s really nice to have my daughter spend more time with family over here.
“I think for us it was a definite move after Covid to have Wyatt closer to family.
“My husband’s in London all the time...
So we’re kind of going back and forth. It’s been nice though.
“We kind of came back during the lockdown, the last lockdown.
“And then we kind of stayed to spend time with family. For me, with Wyatt being the age she is, I want her to have family time.”
Nadia, who has often gushed over her closeness with her grandmother, Bernadette Paulozzi, who raised her after her parents split when she was just a child added: “I want her to grow up with my grandmother. And I want her to have that extended family…we didn’t have that.
“And then obviously, developing The Lido, the show, all of the team was Irish, both up north and in Dublin, so it just made sense to be here.”
The Lido is Nadia’s new project, a TV show she has written for RTE based on her own history as it follows a family-run fish and chip shop in 1980s Dublin.
Keeping tight-lipped on when viewers will see it on screen, she said: “I’m working on a couple of different projects here, including The Lido, but I can’t say much about that now.”
Nadia was speaking as she stepped out in Dublin to support her best friend and showbiz pal through the years Pippa O’connor, as she launched her new venture, vodka brand Istil 38.
And Nadia, who came up the ranks with the businesswoman from their early days as teen models, says she couldn’t be more proud of them both for how much they have achieved since their early days on the catwalk.
She added: “It’s really special to see a woman succeed in whatever that they want to do. And then add your friend into it and it makes it even more exciting.
“I just love seeing her [Pippa] as a businesswoman grow and take on more stuff. It’s just so super inspiring to watch her do it, her and Brian [Ormond].”
“And also for me, modelling I started as a teenager and it did change my life. It put me onto the path that I’m on, so I am grateful for it.”
