IF Huddersfield make it to Wembley then watch out for cool customer Faustino Anjorin.
The Chelsea loanee has had a torrid season, which started with a move to Lokomotiv Moscow followed by a five-month injury lay-off, but which could finish in the play-off final.
Anjorin came off the bench to cement the win which guarantees Huddersfield fourth spot.
His hand was the first one up when the Terriers won a penalty.
Midfielder Anjorin explained: “I was confident. I am always confident. As a footballer you have to believe in yourself and I felt it was the right time to make the impact and I knew I was going to score, that I would put it away.
“This is a chance to prove myself to everyone and give back to what Huddersfield trusted me to do. Yes,
I’m pretty chilled. When I was younger I wasn’t, funnily enough.
“But as I got older I learned that to get more out of yourself you need to be chilled and have confidence. I’ve been through a lot already.”
Anjorin pinpoints his Champions League debut for Chelsea against Krasnodar as the biggest game of his fledgling career so far.
A date at Wembley would top the lot and Anjorin cannot wait to end the season on a high.
He said: “Everyone is confident, everyone knows because we are a team, we are a unit, we are a family, and we all have each other’s backs. As long as we know that we can get through anything. We are happy to take on anyone – no fear.”
Anjorin had 30 minutes to shine on Saturday and made the most of his opportunity.
His spot-kick was pin-point accurate and turned out to be crucial (below).
The Terriers were leading through Harry Toffolo’s wonder goal at the time but a two-goal cushion was needed after Viktor Gyokeres grabbed what turned out to be a consolation.
Sky Blues boss Mark Robins admitted he faces some serious head scratching about the end-ofseason fade away.
He said: “We were really good in possession and poor out of possession and conceded which is not great. It’s a worrying trend.
“This is a really tough League and we are quite a distance away from the top six. We gave away soft goals today.”
