Heard ‘threw drink can at Depp then hit him in face’
Guard tried to separate star couple
AMBER Heard spat at Johnny Depp, threw a can of Red Bull at him and punched him in the face, a security guard has told a jury.
Travis Mcgivern tried to separate them during the bust-up at their LA penthouse in March 2015.
He said she shouted at Depp:
“You’re f***ing washed up” and, verbally, Depp “was giving as good as he got at that point”.
Mr Mcgivern said Heard had left the home and Depp, now
58, “rearranged” some of her wardrobe, ripping down every rack of clothes and shoes.
He said the actress was very agitated on her return to find her items strewn over the then married pair’s apartment.
Mr Mcgivern stepped between them as it grew heated. He said: “At that point, out of the corner of my eye, I see a fist and an arm come across my right shoulder, and I heard, and I saw a closed fist contact Mr Depp in the left side of his face.” The punch, he said, left the star with a “shiner”.
“My job is to ensure the safety and well being of clients, I felt I hadn’t done that.” Testimony in the case included audio evidence of Heard, 36, saying she domestically abused Depp.
She taunted him about how she hit him and no one would believe he was a victim of physical abuse by women.
Depp is suing Heard for €45million for defamation over a newspaper article. She is countersuing him for €92million in damages.
Heard’s defence is expected to open today in Fairfax, Virginia, US. Yesterday it emerged she has switched her PR team over negative headlines she has been receiving.
