‘BUILD THE TEAM AROUND THIS TALENT’
CHRIS SUTTON
THEY have to build a team around Jude Bellingham.
For England’s first goal, Bellingham (right, with last night’s Man of the Match award) receives the ball inside his own half and there were three German midfielders in and around him. He could have taken the easy option and popped the ball back to Nick Pope. But he drifted through the German midfielders, popped the ball out to the right and England got their goal, which was crucial, and gained a bit of momentum.
ANDROS TOWNSEND
JUDE BELLINGHAM has probably cemented his place next to Declan
Rice moving into the World Cup. He is such a special talent. So brave on the ball. Not afraid of the occasion or who he is playing against – or who is he playing for. It was a real pleasure to witness him in the flesh.
When you play three at the back, you need your two central midfielders to be disciplined and I was worried with Bellingham in that midfield position, he is more attacking
minded. I was worried he might leave us exposed. He is more than capable of doing the defensive duties and being disciplined as he showed in the first-half where I think the England midfield did not put a foot wrong.

BUILD everything around Jude Bellingham... he’s got that ‘I’m gonna do what I want’ type attitude that this team needs! Individual mistakes cost us but this team are 100 percent playing for their manager.
GUILLEM BALAGUE
THERE is no doubt in two or three years we will be talking about one of the top five players in the world. He is everywhere for Dortmund. He is powerful, he is quick, his technique is wonderful. He feels like the complete midfielder.
