Following the exploits of maverick property developer Guy Phoenix, cameras go behind the scenes of building these opulent superhomes.
Colossal entrance halls, mega-bedrooms you could park your entire house inside, endless swimming pools, garages for sports cars, wine cellars... not just big – everything is supersized.
Guy, whose every other word is an expletive, says: “Clients come to me because they know it’s going to be a big f***-off house. They know it’s going to look great, they know it’s going to tick all the boxes.
“We put in the luxuries, the saunas, the steam rooms.
“It’s big, it’s f***ing luxury.” Fuelling his maverick status, self-made-man Guy is probably the only property developer in the world to build houses of this value without a proper set of plans.
He explains: “I can’t tell you exactly what it’s going to look like and I can’t tell you how much it’s going to cost but I can tell you it’s going to be f***ing fabulous.”
Guy, who has zero training or qualifications but unbelievable confidence, started off with his own build 15 years ago, which included a shark tank.
Now his clients just have to tell him what they want, then leave him to it – and “trust in the process”.
“It’s about the wow factor,” he says. He’s not wrong there.
