CARDIFF CITY boss Sabri Lamouchi admits it is time to press the panic button – if that means putting some urgency in to their survival bid.

The Frenchman (right) has been in the job just a week but has plenty of proof that he has his work cut out just keeping the Bluebirds in the Championship.

It is now 13 games without a win and his first two games in charge have both ended in 1-0 defeats.

He is well aware that a change in fortune can’t come quickly enough.

“We have to panic,” said Lamouchi. “We have to panic because the situation is not comfortable. I know the players are all aware of the situation. We have 16 games. I don’t want to start late.

“I have a good squad, very good guys. Nice, maybe too nice. It’s not enough. We’re in a bad moment.

“We must just focus, shut up and work. We need to change mentality and be more aggressive in both boxes.

“We know where we are. It’s not my fault, it’s not the players fault – it’s our fault. We didn’t deserve it but we are in this s*** position.

“We work together to get our of this position.”

Meanwhile, goal hero Cyrus Christie believes Hull are on the up and primed for the play-offs.

The Irish midfielder earned the Tigers back-to-back home wins with the only goal (below) against the Welsh strugglers. Tigers are chasing down an unlikely top-six place after a haul of 16 points in nine games that takes them to four points off the play-offs.

“We have players coming back from injury and have a great squad,” said the right-back.

“There’s no reason why we can’t look up.

“It is about us now and what we make of the season. You want to be in the mix come the end of the season.”

Hull have had four managers since the start of last year but in Liam Rosenior they seem to have finally found the right man.

The 38-year-old, who played over 150 games for the club, is transforming their fortunes.

Christie said: “Since he took over we have lost one in nine.

“We have kept a lot of clean sheets, which is what we were not doing before. It is a positive, because before we were looking over our shoulders but now we look up.

“You have to have that belief you can do it and now everyone is pulling in right direction.”
