AN 18-year-old charged with the murder of a gunman at a restaurant on Christmas Eve has been remanded to appear again in court in two weeks.

Another man, Jason Hennessy Snr, was fatally injured in the incident.

He faced his second hearing at Cloverhill District Court yesterday. His case was put back to January 26 pending the preparation of a book of evidence.

Sherry, 26, was allegedly attacked after opening fire on Saturday, December 24.

The dad-of-one, pictured below, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jason Hennessy Snr, 48, was shot in the neck and upper body. Hennessy, from Corduff in West Dublin, was rushed to hospital, but his condition deteriorated, and he died on January 4. Sherry was disarmed at the scene and suffered fatal injuries there.

Last week, Judge Maire Conneely heard Amah “made no reply” when he became the second person charged with Sherry’s murder.

Michael Andrecut, 22, of Sheephill Avenue in Dublin, was the first to be charged with the murder.

He was remanded in custody on December 30 and is back in court next Tuesday.

A third defendant, Wayne Deegan, 25, of Linnetsfield Avenue, Phibblestown, Dublin, was charged last week with producing a knife as a weapon during an offence.

He also faces further charges including assault causing harm and violent disorder by using or threatening to use violence.

He has reserved his position on bail and will appear again at Cloverhill District Court on Friday.
