Harry’s missus to help England WAGS in Germany during Euros

- FROM JEREMY ARMSTRONG in Munich news@irishmirror.ie

EXCLUSIVE ENGLAND’S wives and girlfriends are planning a summer of family fun in Germany as their partners fight for glory on the country’s football pitches.

With the Euros due to begin on June 14, it will be a world away from the infamous antics of the “WAGS” during the 2006 World Cup – the last time Germany hosted a major finals.

Back then, partners including

Coleen Rooney,

Cheryl Cole and

Victoria Beckham painted the spa town of Baden

Baden red.

The glamorous gang made almost as many headlines as the players as they shopped in pricey boutiques and partied.

But this time,

Harry Kane’s wife

Kate is perfectly placed to help her pals with tips on

German culture and some family orientated socialising. The England captain and his wife, both 30, moved into a €35million Munich mansion last year.

The current crop of WAGS formed strong bonds at 2022’s Qatar World Cup, just over a year ago, and still keep in touch.

Many stayed together on the MSC World Europa, a €1billion luxury cruise liner docked in Doha for the competition.

Kate should be able to help them find a similarly luxurious base.

A source said: “They believe they can have an amazing holiday together – the wives and, in some cases, the kids too.” Key members of the group now include fitness instructor Kate, Fern Maguire, 29, wife of Manchester United defender Harry, 30, and 29-year-old keeper Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan Davison, 27.

They are also close to 28-year-old Jack Grealish’s girlfriend Sasha Attwood, 27, and 28-year-old Luke Shaw’s partner Anouska Santos, 31.

This summer Kate, Megan and Fern are likely to take their entire families along to the Euros.

Harry’s dad Pat will be enjoying the action again with Sean Rice, father of midfielder Declan, 25, and an army of proud parents.

Back in 2006, Wayne Rooney, Ashley Cole, David Beckham and co lost in the quarter-finals against Portugal on penalties.

This time, England’s campaign kicks off in Gelsenkirchen on June 16 against Serbia, before a trip to Frankfurt for Denmark and then on to Cologne for Slovenia.

In qualifying for the Euros, England played eight matches, winning six, drawing two and losing none.

They scored 22 goals at an average of 2.75 per match.

Manager Gareth Southgate told Sky Sports after the draw was revealed late last year: “We have had consistency of performance and results.

“But a new tournament means a new challenge and the first objective is to get out of the group again.”
