Lady in dread
Rosanna reveals she went to see therapist over her DWTS nerves
ROSANNA Davison went to therapy to help her cope with her anxiety ahead of Dancing With The Stars.
The former Miss World sought help for her nerves from a therapist before Christmas.
The mum-of-three said she kept waking up at night fearing all the things that could go wrong during the live shows.
The daughter of Lady
In Red hitmaker Chris de Burgh, told RTE
Guide: “I’ve really had to harness and manage my anxiety because it had got so bad in the lead up to this.
“I would be waking up in the night and all I could think about was dancing live on TV and all the things that could go wrong.
“So, she really helped reduce that anxiety and made me realise we’re not doing brain surgery – it’s just dancing.
“Anything else I’ve done in my life, whether it was surrogacy, Miss World, my master’s degree, they’ve taken me out of my comfort zone but you grow in confidence from that.”
Rosanna wowed judges
Brian Redmond, Loraine
Barry and Arthur Gourounlian on Sunday with her salsa to Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie.
The model and her pro dance partner Stephen
Vincent scored an impressive
23 points.
Speaking after her routine,
Rosanna added: “I felt like it was my 21-year-old Rosanna coming out again, dancing with my friends, loving life.”
Meanwhile, the pro dancer brother of the late model Alli Mcdonnell has told how proud his sister would’ve been of him on Dancing With The Stars.
Montel Hewson and his long-term girlfriend Jillian Bromwich are the show’s newest dancers with Montel partnered up with Tiktok star Miriam Mullins, while Jillian is with Rory Cowan.
The 22-year-old’s sister’s death by suicide in February 2019 shocked Ireland’s social scene, with speculation rife she had been the victim of online bullying. Just weeks after mum-of-four Alli’s death, her former boyfriend and You’re A Star singer Andrew Mann was found dead in his home.
Opening up about his sister’s tragic death, Montel said Alli would’ve been “going nuts” over the news he was on the RTE One show. He added: “For sure. She would be very, very proud of me.
“The minute I got the job, I was thinking if only she was still here, she’d be going nuts.
“I had this conversation with myself today. I looked back on her Instagram and her followers, and I was thinking to myself, ‘Do I have more followers than her on Dancing With The Stars’. “But yeah, I’d say she would be very, very proud of me.
“She’d be arguing to be in the audience every week, but we have a huge family. There’s a lot of family.”
