Claudia is hooked on the action

- By MARK JEFFERIES Showbiz Editor

CLAUDIA Winkleman is so hooked on the shenanigans on The Traitors she begged the production team to put screens in her dressing room so she can watch all the action when she’s not filming.

Executive producer Sarah Fay said of the 51-year-old host: “Claudia is brilliant because she’s so invested in this game. She’s watching everything that’s happening.

“She has to be so good at not giving anything away to the players, and she very much has an opinion on who she thinks will be a good Traitor.”

Speaking to TV Times magazine, Sarah revealed the rows during roundtable banishments can go on for ages, but are edited down.

She said: “It all depends on how certain the players are.

SHIFT

“The roundtables are always one of the crew’s favourite bits. Sometimes their shift has finished, but if a roundtable is about to start people are like, ‘I might stay half an hour later.’

“Everyone wants to watch it before they go home.”

In the hit reality show – back for its second series on BBC1 – 22 strangers head to a Scottish castle where they are split between Faithful and Traitors. If the Faithful eliminate all the Traitors, those left standing can share a prize pot of up to £120,000.

But if any of the Traitors, who “murder” one Faithful a night, are left at the end of the game they take it all.

In this series, the Faithful have banished one Traitor, Ash Bibi, but have also accidentally ousted four Faithful.

Last year, the Faithful won when Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams shared the

£101,050 prize pot.
