Ex marks the spot for Jake

-

It’s never easy bumping into an ex – but bumping into an ex on national TV when viewers have savagely decided to couple you up with them must be pretty excruciating.

However, Love Islander Jake Cornish insists he walked out of the All Stars villa after three days because he was “struggling” with feeling like he “didn’t have a connection with anyone” and not because he was partnered with Liberty Poole.

The former couple had not spoken for three years since Liberty, 24, walked out of the show in 2021, ending their turbulent relationship. But Jake, 26, insists that the pair achieved “closure” in the villa as they got to “clear the air”.

And he says he left because he simply didn’t believe he would find love in the ITV2 show.

Jake claimed: “I have no regrets whatsoever. I’m not going to put my energy into something I am not feeling 100% in. I’m either in it 100% or nothing.

“It’s as simple as that.”

He added brutally: “And

VILLA VAMOOSE there’s no one I fancy... Me and Lib, we’re wicked, we were sweet from the beginning.

“It’s nice to see her, to be honest with you, to just clear up stuff that’s happened before. We’ve both matured and it’s nice to see that she has matured as well.

“Closure is key.”

He later said in a statement: “Now isn’t the right time for me to find love as I would never want to force a connection.”

Rather than settle down, Jake says he’s off to “hit the clubs” – like most 26-year-olds who aren’t looking for love.

He’ll have a ball...

It’s nice to see her, clear up stuff. We’ve both matured. Closure is key
