FROM BACK PAGE been described as a strain. And after watching his team hit four past Bournemouth, Klopp said Salah should soon be back in Liverpool to be treated by the club’s staff.

“That is the plan,” said Klopp. “It makes sense to do the rehab with us and our people. But I don’t know if that’s written in stone.

“It wasn’t a 0-4 game but Liverpool were excellent,” he said. “They deserved to win.

“We have to be at our best to compete with opposition like this. We kept the game quite level for a while but as soon as we conceded the first goal they did things more quickly and they made us pay.

“You have to match the physicality they put into the game. We did this for a lot of minutes but we were not able to maintain that level. They were just too intense.”
