POMPEY CLICK WITH KAMARA

-

JOHN MOUSINHO claimed PORTSMOUTH’S 1-0 win at bottom club FLEETWOOD was one of the most important of the campaign for the League One leaders.

Abu Kamara’s goal clinched the win that came on the back of successive defeats, and Pompey boss Mousinho (above) said: “It always felt like if we could get a win, it would be up there with the most important of the season for us.”

Manager Darren Ferguson made a similar claim after his second-placed PETERBOROUGH side fought back to beat SHREWSBURY 2-1.

Ferguson said: “These are games you’ve just got to find a way of winning.

“Not every game is going to be so easy on the eye, creating chance after chance.”

DERBY defender Kane Wilson took the positives from a 0-0 draw at LINCOLN, as the Rams lost ground on the top two.

He said: “If you’d had offered us one loss in 13 when this run started then I think everyone would have taken it.”

LEYTON ORIENT boss Richie Wellens was sent off during his side’s 1-0 defeat of BOLTON.

Dan Agyei got the winner on 54 minutes before Wellens was sent off late on for preventing the Trotters taking a quick throw.

Bolton boss Ian Evatt (left) said: “I’m very disappointed, and I think we got what we deserved.”

Thelo Aasgaard added to the woes of READING in WIGAN’S 1-0 victory.

EXETER’S 0-0 draw with CAMBRIDGE means their return of eight goals in 14 home league games is the worst in all four divisions.

Michael Appleton insists he still has the backing of the CHARLTON board after losing 2-0 at BURTON.

The Addicks boss said: “We’ve got an understanding of how strongly we can finish the season. It’s up to me and the staff and the players to try and deliver that.”
