shocked holly’s ‘f-bomb’
Swear word seems to slip out on live dancing on ice episode
DANCING On Ice fans are convinced Holly Willoughby swore on live TV last night after a prank by co-host Stephen Mulhern backfired.
Introducing Movie Week, Holly, 42, said: “Right, our next couple are taking on one of cinema’s spookiest characters, Beetlejuice, hoping to give their opponents the fright of their lives”
Stephen then screamed into Holly’s face, which made her jump.
A clearly rattled Holly muttered what sounded like, “f*** off ” before introducing Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi and Sylvain Longchambon.
She then turned to Stephen, 46, gave him a playful smack on the shoulder and said: “You stupid boy.”
Later Holly addressed the outburst on the show, which started at 6.20pm, by saying: “Now, a little bit earlier on, Stephen may have made me jump and I think it might have sounded like a naughty word slipped out.
“I don’t think I did, but I’m sorry if that’s what you thought you might have heard, but I don’t think I did. I’ll watch it back on ITV player.” She then told Stephen: “It’s your fault for being so naughty.” Stephen replied: “I get the blame for everything at the moment.”
S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt, partnered with Andy Buchanan, was eliminated last night. She said she’d had a fantastic time and that skating with Andy had been a joy.
There was no skate-off – instead judges’ scores and viewers’ votes were combined to determine who would go. Holly, who left This Morning in October after 14 years, has been hosting the hit ITV ice-dancing show since 2006.
Mulhern replaced former Dancing on Ice co-host Phillip Schofield, after he left ITV last year.
