JURGEN: I FEEL FINE

and after the game, conceded: “It is emotional but I have to pull myself together. I received all the messages the people sent and I’m not made of wood. So I get all this.

“I said not long ago, don’t sing the song during the game, but people have stopped listening to me already so that’s good! It’s fine.

“We won the game and we scored after that song so, if I was superstitious (about them singing the song), that’s over.”

Klopp called on his adoring fans to put the goodbyes to one side ahead of their crunch clash with Chelsea in the Premier League on Wednesday.

He added: “I’m not here to tell people what to do but we play again on Wednesday and, if we can ignore for the 95-100 minutes that the manager is leaving at the end of the season, let’s do everything to make it as uncomfortable as possible for Chelsea, that would be great.

“I know people know that. This was a wonderful afternoon in all parts.”

The win came at the expense of Klopp’s friend David Wagner, who did at least see his Norwich side score two in the seven-goal affair.

Wagner said: “He wants to win, I want to win. I lost, like always!”

Klopp was able to introduce Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-arnold and Dominik Szoboszlai following their recovery from injury.

It was Scottish international Robertson’s first appearance since dislocating a shoulder on international duty in October.

The Reds will meet the winners of the Southampton v Watford replay at Anfield on February 28, three days after they clash with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
