Presenting... with the Stars
Rosanna eyes up hosting DWTS
FORMER Miss World Rosanna Davison would love to host Dancing with the Stars – despite feeling “physically sick” on the show.
The glamorous daughter of Chris De Burgh said DWTS has helped her grow in confidence again since becoming a mother to three children.
She told us: “I mean, if the opportunity came up. I can’t see Doireann and Jennifer wanting to part ways with their job any time soon. The girls are just fantastic at what they do. I really think they drive the show every week.
“They bring in so much heart and personality, but you know if the opportunity ever came up.”
Rosanna, 39, said the series has let viewers see “a side to me that my friends and family know”. She added: “It’s the fun side. I love getting into characters and really acting it out. But maybe the public wouldn’t be familiar with it so it has been a great confidence building process actually to get into a character each week and really enjoy the characterisations side of dancing. That’s a big thing this season.
“I’m trying to pass on a message that this isn’t sort of a natural environment for me to be in but I’m really pushing out of my comfort zone and trying to do something that scares me a bit. And life is all about taking these risks. Learning about yourself in the process.”
Rosanna said of DWTS: “Maybe I wish I’d had more self-confidence right at the beginning. Particularly in the first show. I felt sick before we went out on the dance floor.
“I was sick with the nerves but you know a few weeks in I still get butterflies in my stomach when it’s our time to go to dance but I’ve started to embrace the experience more and see it as fun rather than terrifying.”
