What the...? Wednesday Not-so-glad-iators Thursday

Yes, the original star of the primetime series came out swinging for the new Gladiators reboot this week – claiming she and the other stars from its 90s’ heyday should have been invited back.
Yet while Jet might still be in peak condition – and ready to bring down a few whimpering contestants – some of the others are more of a question mark. For starters, a few have been busy doing porridge, and not for the health benefits.

But could producers be missing a market here? As a member of a slightly more mature age group myself, could I suggest an obvious spin-off? Gladilaters, the same show but for baby boomers.
All it would need was a few tweaks to the format: a tea break halfway through The Eliminator maybe? An optional lift by the Travelator?
And perhaps instead of facing Gladiators in The Gauntlet, contestants must battle their way past a far more annoying (and sadly familiar) opponent: Tiktok-dancing influencers getting in your way with their endless selfies.
