Chloe Ayling: the TV drama
First look at Nadia in kidnap model scenes
THIS is the first look at Nadia Parkes playing Chloe Ayling in the TV drama about the model’s shocking kidnap.
The actor, 28, is in a scene where the victim gives a statement to the press after her ordeal was over.
BBC series Kidnapped tells how Chloe was snatched aged 20 after arriving in Milan, Italy, for a 2017 job and held in a farmhouse with a £265,000 ransom demand.
It also re-creates the court case that put her kidnappers in jail.
The BBC said of the six-parter: “It will tell Chloe’s personal story in full for the first time, going behind the headlines to shine a light on the emotional truth.” Written by
Georgia Lester, who worked on Killing Eve, the series is based on research, interviews, the legal proceedings and Chloe’s autobiography Kidnapped – The Untold Story of My Abduction.
Six days after being snatched she was released and dropped off at the British Consulate in Milan. Chloe said she had been injected with the tranquilliser ketamine and thrown into the boot of a car before being driven to the farmhouse near Turin.
Lukasz Herba and his brother Michal were both jailed for 16 years after an Italian court convicted them of kidnapping Chloe, of Coulsdon, South London.
But her ordeal did not end there. She faced claims her kidnap was faked and was accused in court of being involved in a “publicity stunt”.
Chloe, who co-operated with TV chiefs to make the BBC series, later appeared in Celebrity Big Brother.
Adrian Edmondson and Nigel Lindsay also star in the new drama. ■■Kidnapped will launch on BBC later this year.
