Britney: I made out with Ben Affleck
Pop singer’s shock claim as actor dated Paltrow in 1999
BRITNEY Spears has sensationally claimed she “made out” with Ben Affleck while he was dating Gwyneth Paltrow in the late 1990s.
The pop superstar, 42, made the revelation as she shared a photograph of herself with the Hollywood actor and her songwriter Diane Warren in 1999.
Britney quickly deleted the post, in which she claimed she “honestly forgot” she and Affleck had hooked up.
The Toxic singer, who released memoirs last year that did not mention her alleged tryst with Affleck, posted the photograph on Instagram.
She wrote: “Cool pic of me and Ben Affleck and Diane Warren years ago! He’s such an amazing actor.
“Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night... I honestly forgot... damn that’s crazy!
“Wish I could tell you guys the story that happened before that! Oh dear, I’m just being a gossip girl!”
Britney posted a laughing emoji, adding: “Psss I actually forgot.”
Affleck did not respond online after her allegations on Wednesday.
Britney’s photo with Gone Girl actor Affleck was from a party in June or July in 1999 when they allegedly kissed.
That year he turned 27 in August and Britney turned 18 in December.
Britney started dating fellow US singer Justin Timberlake in 1999 but it is understood their romance
started after the summer. Affleck, 51, had a three-year “on-and-off ” romance with actress Paltrow from 1997 to 2000.
The mum of two recently spoke fondly of their time together, though admitted they were prone to rowing.
Paltrow, 51, also described Affleck as “technically excellent” in the bedroom.
But added: “He was not in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend.”
Paltrow previously compared her relationship with Affleck to her romance with actor Brad Pitt, 60.
The lifestyle guru said Affleck was most likely to make her laugh – but she was most likely to become involved in a quarrel with him.
Paltrow is now married to writer Brad Falchuk after having two children with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who was her first husband.
Meanwhile, Britney recently praised
Timberlake and apologised for “some of the things” she wrote in her memoir The Woman In Me.
It included claims he had cheated on her. She also wrote she had an abortion when she was 19 because the former *NSYNC star was not ready to be a dad.
Timberlake, 43, quipped on stage: “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to absolutely nobody.”
The singer shares two children with his actress wife Jessica Biel.
Affleck has been married to singer Jennifer Lopez since July 2022, though the pair first dated from 2002 to 2004.
He also has three children with his first wife, actress Jennifer Garner, who he divorced in 2018.
In May last year, the publication of Britney’s book was put on hold.
It was reported unnamed Hollywood stars were reportedly drafting legal letters to publishers Simon & Schuster regarding potential revelations in it.
Britney has been married three times and shares sons Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17, with her ex-spouse Kevin Federline.
She married Sam Asghari, 29, in 2022 after the pair started dating in 2016, but the couple divorced last year.
