Conor-owned firm submits new plans for apartments
Conor Mcgregor
A CONOR Mcgregor firm is proposing more than a one third reduction to a rejected 113-unit apartment scheme.
Emrajare Ltd hope the move will secure the green light for a residential scheme in at the Drimnagh site in Mcgregor’s native D12.
The alternative 72 -apartment, six-storey block scheme proposal put forward by the firm is a 36% decrease on the original eight-storey scheme.
That proposal was last month subject to a comprehensive rejection by Dublin City Council.
It rejected the proposed development “due to its design and excessive scale and density would constitute over development of the restricted site and create an overly dominant and incongruous development”.
The new proposal lodged by consultants, Tom Phillips + Associates argues that the grounds for refusal of the scheme are “entirely unfounded”.
The alternative scheme by C+W O’brien Architects rises from two to six storeys and comprises 72 apartments.
The mixed use scheme involves the demolition of the Marble Arch pub that Mr Mcgregor purchased for a reported €1.5million to €2million three years ago.
