BY DAVID ANDERSON HARRY KANE and Bayern Munich suffered more agony as they were stunned by Lazio in the Stadio Olimpico.

Bayern were huge favourites to sweep Lazio aside in the last 16 of the Champions League with Maurizio Sarri’s side struggling in eighth in Serie A.

But Sarri outwitted Thomas Tuchel in this battle of the former Chelsea bosses as his side soaked up Bayern’s pressure before sinking them from the penalty spot.

Lazio captain Ciro Immobile celebrated his 34th birthday six days early to score the only goal. For Kane (above) and Bayern the misery continues as the Bundesliga giants struggled to supply the England skipper as Tuchel demanded from his side.

Kane had an off night and he skied his best chance early on before nodding a looping header over. Bayern are clearly still suffering from their 3-0 loss to title rivals

Bayer Leverkusen when they managed just one effort on goal, their lowest in the Bundesliga for eight years, and all their shots were off target.

Joshua Kimmich missed from a great chance before Kane shot over as he lent back from seven yards out.

Lazio defended brilliantly and they swamped Bayern.

Former Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto drove just wide from a rare Lazio chance.

Leroy Sane shot narrowly wide from a wellworked Bayern free-kick just outside the area, which began with Kane dummying the ball.

Kane was careless in possession, giving the ball away twice in quick succession, and saw a free-kick hit the Lazio wall to sum up his night.

It went from bad to worse for Bayern midway through the second half when Dayot Upamecano was sent off for a rash challenge on Isaksen to concede a penalty.

Immobile made no mistake from the spot, scoring on 68 minutes.
