FREDDIE Mercury could soon perform as an avatar in concerts inspired by the ABBA Voyage stage show.

The firm which owns the solo music of Queen legend Freddie, who died in 1991, has applied to trademark his image for “immersive 3D virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences”.

The applications to the Intellectual Property Office by Mercury Songs Ltd cover “performances in the field of music”.

His solo work includes hits Living On My Own and The Great Pretender.

It follows huge success for the ABBA stage show performed in London by their virtual recreations.

In 2022, Queen guitarist Brian May said it was “tempting” to use a Freddie hologram in performances.

PHILLIP Schofield gives a hug to a new pal in a rare public appearance since his TV

career fell apart.

A cute puppy seemed to bring the 61-year-old a bit of comfort as he took a stroll with daughter Molly.

The former This Morning presenter was revealed last year to have had an affair with a man 34 years his junior, who he worked with on the popular ITV show.

Now Schofield and his exlover, known as Person X have signed non-disclosure agreements, preventing them from talking about the scandal. Schof

Phillip with Molly ield previously described the affair as “unwise but not illegal”.

A source said: “[The NDA] means Phil knows his young ex will not ever be able to speak about their relationship, so he can probably sleep a lot better.

“He has lost a lot but imagine if the full details came out – it would be pretty cataclysmic for him. As for the young man, let’s hope that he can move on with his life now and rebuild it.”

The affair took place while Schofield was still married to his wife of 30 years, Stephanie Lowe, the mother of his two daughters Ruby, 28, and Molly, 30.

Last May, when he left his role hosting This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby, Schofield said: “I have lied to my employers, to my colleagues, to the public, and most importantly to my family. I am so very, very sorry.”

Person X was 15 when he met Schofield. The TV host helped him land a job as a runner on This Morning at the age of 19, and their fling began when he was 20.
