Rosanna: I don’t think the jig is up after our dance-off drama

Ex-miss World insisted being in last two was extra motivation

DANCING With The Stars hopeful Rosanna Davison has admitted she “accepted”when her name was called to face the dance-off.

The former Miss World was saved by judges Brian Redmond, Loraine Barry and Arthur Gourounlian on Sunday night.

That’s after she and pro partner Stephen Vincent ended up in the bottom two with Eileen Dunne and Robert Rowinski.

Eileen was voted off the show, but Rosanna, 39, said she was glad to get the first-dance off over her.

She added: “There wasn’t much time to panic and I think the feedback that we danced better than the first time around, so we’ll take that.

“I’m just delighted to be safe and going into Orchestra Week, I’m really going to give it my all.

“I was very accepting. Two couples had to be in the dance-off, so why not us? Hopefully, we have the dance-offs out of the way, and we won’t have to do it again.

“I think it has given us extra motivation and fire in our bellies to work really harder than normal.

“I do not think being in the dance off necessarily means you’re going to leave the show.

“I think what we’ll do is take it as a motivating factor for next week’s show.

“We’ll go into next week positive and hope we aren’t in the dance-off again.”

Luckily for Rosanna, she didn’t have the added pressures of her parents in the audience on Sunday.

She said: “They weren’t, they were at a wedding but tuning in and asking everyone to vote. “They loved dedicated dance week and really want to go to orchestra week so I’m just very relieved that they will be able to sit in the audience that weekend.

“There are many reasons to be grateful to go through

I think it has given us extra motivation and fire in our bellies ROSANNA DAVISON ON SURVIVING THE DANCE-OFF

to next week.”

But the mum-of-three said she apologised to Eileen when she was voted off, admitting the former RTE newsreader “was such an asset to the show”. She said: “Everybody loves Eileen. I actually said sorry to her because really it was us who got the position next week and she has to go.

“Unfortunately, that’s just how the show runs.

“Eileen was such an asset to the show, and everybody loved seeing a different side to her. She’s such a warm, genuine, kind person.

“I enjoyed great chats with her backstage over the past couple of weeks so she really will be missed.
