Salah is latest to join the ever-growing Kop injury list with Klopp missing 10 stars

MO SALAH has been added to Liverpool’s crippling injury list, leaving them without up to 10 players.

Salah made a goalscoring return off the bench at Brentford on Saturday following a hamstring injury which kept him out for four weeks.

The Egypt star is doubtful for tonight’s clash with Luton and there is also a question mark over his involvement in Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final against Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp also lost Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones and Darwin Nunez during the win at Brentford and Salah’s setback is the last thing he needed.

When asked if his top scorer has suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury, Klopp said: “It’s a similar area where he feels it a little bit. It’s nothing crazy, but we have to see.”

Klopp said Jota

(right) and that Nunez’s (below) issue was not too serious.

Trent Alexanderarnold and Dominik Szoboszlai are highly unlikely to return from their respective knee and hamstring problems in time to face Chelsea.

“It’s not great, definitely not,” said Klopp. “Jota with a knee issue is ruled out, Jones with a bone ligament issue is ruled out and then we have the others, where we have to deal with it day by day.

“With Diogo, it will take months. With Curtis, I couldn’t give you a time frame.

“With the longer term injuries, like Trent and Dom, they’re on their way back, but are not available.”

Liverpool’s injury list could seriously undermine their quadruple bid.

Luton’s trip to Anfield is the first of eight testing games, including a visit to face champions Manchester City, in 25 days.

Klopp is determined to remain upbeat and says his players have already covered for each other this season to keep the Reds on track for glory.

“There are 5,000 different ways to win a football game and we only have to find one,” he said.

“That should always be possible, especially at home where we can generate a dynamic where people can grow above themselves, that you really can be the best version of yourself.

“Who then cares

about the number on your back or the position you play?

“It’s actually not important, it’s just what can you contribute, what can you bring to the team. If we didn’t know that before, we’ve learned that this year 100 percent.”

Klopp was full of praise for the job Luton boss Rob Edwards has done since steering the Hatters to the top flight. He said: “Rob, the job he’s doing there is insane. I’m not sure it’s respected enough with the amount of points they had at the start of the season, making such a football development, I’m not sure I’ve seen that before.”
