DANCING With The Stars’ favourite Laura Fox says her ambition is to win the competition, and she’d be “lying” to say otherwise.

The DJ and TV presenter, an early bookies’ favourite, said: “At the end of the day, at this point in the competition, what I’m reminding myself is that I can do this one year and one year only and I’ll never get to do it again.

“If you’re not things as they are happening, then what’s the point?

“We’ve been at this for three months so it’s become a huge part of my life.

“I’m enjoying every single second of it for what it is.”

The Galwegian, 33, says she’s open to more career opportunities once the show ends – but is content with what she has and doesn’t want to “be greedy”.

Laura, who has a show on 2FM and recently took over as host of RTE’S Ireland’s Fittest Family, is set to see her star rise after being a contestant on the show.

Dancing with the Stars gave previous contestants such as Aoibhin Garrihy, Jake Carter and Erica Cody a career boost.

Laura adopts a “never say never” approach to her career but is equally content with her

enjoying current workload. She told the Irish Mirror: “To be honest, I have everything I’ve ever dreamed of right now. I’m on a good trajectory and really enjoying every second of it.

“I’ll obviously be up for any opportunities that come my way but it’s not something I’m going out of my way right now to be greedy and looking for.”

When asked if she would like to do more work with RTE newsreader Eileen Dunne, who she has now struck up a close friendship with, the radio presenter said it would be “amazing.”

She added: “The idea of working with someone I’ve become quite close with over the past couple of months and getting to hang out with them?

“There’s so much joy in that.”

Laura and her partner Denys Samson were the last couple to be announced safe before the first dance off of the season last weekend.

The TV star felt nervous but is comforted by the fact the dance off has now been introduced to the competition.

She said: “It wasn’t a nice feeling standing there and knowing it could all be whipped from underneath you like that.

“I have a very positive outlook on the dance off because instead of your name being called out and getting sent home.”
